Dan Mason is a New Zealand born painter who has spent the past two decades, devoted to the exploration of his love for colour and texture. An award-winning artist, he has held several sell out solo shows in Australia and has exhibited extensively throughout Europe on the Affordable Art Fair circuit. “The artwork of Sir Howard Hodgkin has had the greatest impact on my creative journey – realism bores me to tears. Being a lifetime surfer has also shaped my love, respect and appreciation of our earthly environment. It is my intention, through painting, to share the joys and challenges of our existence, to capture the layers and complexities that we face as humans and as custodians of our magnificent planet.
